Financial Controller/CFO

We are seeking a dynamic Controller to join our Tungsten-Tough team that actively directs all TPW financial activities, while upholding the highest level of customer engagement, professionalism, and collaborates onsite with TPW team members to provide financial oversight, cost-efficiency, and financially feasible business decisions.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepares or directs preparation of reports which summarize and forecast TPW business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings, based on past, present, and expected operations. Provides management with timely reviews of TPW’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
  • Establishes or recommends major corporate economic strategies, objectives,
    and policies.
  • Directs preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares
    necessary supporting documentation and justification.
  • Oversees HR Department, semi-monthly payroll, benefits program and 401(k).
    Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property
    losses and potential liabilities.
  • Perform periodic physical inventory counts. A solid understanding of the
    manufacturing process is crucial.
  • Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.
    Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code
    revisions.
  • Prepares and oversees audits and or reviews of company accounts by outside
    advisors including CPA and Bank.
  • Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
    Establishes relationship with banks and other financial institutions.
    Provides coaching, leadership and mentoring to accounting team combined
    with excellent supervisory, communication and customer service skills.
  • Supports organizational goals, procedures, and policies, with a high level of
    attention towards superior customer service.
  • Complies, supports and enforces all TPW plant safety policies and standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • Minimum 5-7 years hands on professional finance/accounting management work experience.
  • Able to use pivot tables, write reports and process Payroll.
  • Ability to make decisions on GAAP issues.
  • Experience in Windows environment software, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, computerized general ledger, accounting software and QuickBooks.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a team setting with diverse people.
  • Pleasant, positive, and confident presentation of self and organization.
  • Ability to prioritize duties and meet regular processing deadlines.

Powder Metallurgist

The Powder Metallurgist will have a broad understanding of metallurgy and advanced failure analysis techniques, and provide expertise relating to metals and ceramics. Experience in performing root cause failure analysis, microstructure evaluation and providing solutions.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develops elemental and blended material specifications and determines QA controls to ensure requirements.
  • Training laboratory personnel on powder inspection techniques and provide evaluations.
  • Determine tooling size requirements for new products.
  • Research, analyze, and propose solutions to customer requirements both internal and external.
  • Develop and implement process optimization experiments.
  • Review, revise, create and/or manage SOP’s for all thermal processes.
  • Provide technical support and analysis internally to operations and quality team.
  • Benchmark and improve key metrics in the powder and thermal processes.
  • Identify, promote, and provide solutions for continuous improvement throughout the product cycle.
  • Identify, research, and recommend cost reductions.
  • Mentor employees on compaction, thermal processes and metallurgy.
  • Develop methods for ceramic tray manufacturing.
  • Develop methods for reworking powder or scrap products.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Expertise with process Tungsten Heavy Alloy and other refractory metals.
  • Expertise in Debinding, Liquid Phase Sintering and Annealing processes.
  • Experience using ASTM standards for Powder Metallurgy.
  • Experience with uniaxial compacting of metal powders and the design of the tooling.
  • Experience with creating and using consolidated metal powders, Spray drying, Granulation and dry blending.
  • Experience with experimental techniques for process development.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with fast-changing priorities.
  • Maintain current knowledge and industry trends.
  • Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions.
  • Must be creative, detail oriented, possess a strong work ethic.
  • Strong communication skills in all forms including, written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation.
  • Establish good working relationships with leadership team, peers, production team, customers, vendors and contractors; team oriented.
  • Good working knowledge of all MS Office applications and internet applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • A proven history of successful process plant improvements with increasing levels of responsibility.

Education and Experience

  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Metallurgical engineering
  • 5-10 years of post-academic experience

Sales Representative

Under direct supervision, our Inside Sales Manager actively seeks and generates new TPW business from our onsite location.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Sources new TPW sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outboundcold calls and emails.
  • Prospects call preparation including company background research and otherpertinent lead information.
  • Identifies customer’s buying trends and provides reports to management, as needed.
  • Enters, updates, and maintains CRM information on leads, prospects, andopportunities.
  • Familiar with CRM and Zoho.
  • Works in a team environment with DOD customers.
  • Supports TPW organizational goals, procedures, and policies, with a high level ofattention towards superior customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A four year college degree in business management and/or equivalent workexperience.
  • 1-3 years sales experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, able to work withminimal supervision.
  • Independent starter with the ability to work proactively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate, both verbal and written.

Production Operator

Production Operators are responsible for loading and unloading ingredients and materials into machinery, maintaining equipment and sanitizing work areas. The ideal Production Operator will have a minimum of one year’s experience working in a manufacturing setting, have excellent communication skills and be a team player.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Be comfortable working with basic machine tools.
  • Be able to use a tape measure.
  • Be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Be able to inspect parts for defects and abnormalities.
  • Know the proper way to hold and use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
