Production Quality Inspector

Position Overview
The Porter/Quality Inspector ensures that all products meet Tungsten Parts Wyoming’s production and quality standards. This role involves inspecting and testing products, overseeing production processes, and verifying compliance with process specifications. The ideal candidate is communicative, detail-oriented, quality-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Able to work a 12 hour shift
- Maintain detail-oriented mindset, to include use of precision tools and recording accurate measurements.
- Possess good time management skills
- Communicate activities and findings throughout shift and brief confidently.
Porter
- Conducts hourly checks and measurements of product.
- Verifies parameters of equipment during operation.
- Conducts shutdown procedure of equipment at prescribed specifications
- Ability to communicate
- Ability to use a micrometer correctly
- Ability to understand and implement work instructions
- Able to see small flaws in balls less than 3mm big
- Ability to increase RPMs and pressure on grinders
- All grinders must have a ball measurement and quality check done
Inspection & Quality Control
- Verify production travelers upon receipt of products for accuracy and completeness.
- Apply Process Tags to production items, indicating date, identification number, and customer details.
- Conduct prompted inspections to assess product quality at different production stages.
- Use micrometers and precision measuring tools to evaluate product dimensions.
- Communicate inspection results with the production leadership team and QC leadership.
Process Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Aid and assist process efficiency though active engagement where necessary.
Equipment & Documentation Management
- Verify that all measurements and test equipment are properly calibrated.
- Review and confirm accuracy of end-of-shift logs from Operators, Leads, and Supervisors.
- Ensure cleanliness of Porter tools, equipment, and documentation.
- Generate on the spot reports detailing issues or observations negatively impacting or influencing production, operations or execution of duties.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience in quality control, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Ability to use micrometers and other precision measuring tools.
- Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills to identify defects and inconsistencies.
- Organizational Skills: Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively discuss and document quality concerns with production teams.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset to evaluate processes and suggest improvements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around production areas for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and handle products during inspections.

Plant Supervisor
Tungsten Parts Wyoming, the only fully U.S.–owned producer of precision tungsten munitions, is hiring a Plant Supervisor to manage grinding, washing, calibration, and packaging operations in Laramie, Wyoming. The role reports to the Production Operations Director and guides a multi-disciplinary crew on variable 12-hour shifts to meet strict quality, safety, and delivery targets that supports America’s warfighters and critical U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) supply chains.
Key Responsibilities — Lead America’s Tungsten Munitions Line
- Lead production for the nation’s only U.S.–owned tungsten munitions shop: set output goals, assign crews, and keep every grinder, washer, and calibration station running to spec so American-made ordinance reaches the defense supply chain on schedule.
- Drive throughput without compromising quality: balance real-time workflow, eliminate bottlenecks, and maintain dimensional tolerances demanded in high-density defense parts.
- Uphold an ironclad safety culture: enforce Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, high-output management, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to protect the team and the mission.
- Inspire, mentor, and hold the line: coach operators and shift supervisors, conduct performance reviews, and cultivate the assertive, accountable ethos veterans bring to manufacturing leadership.
- Coordinate maintenance for maximum readiness: schedule preventive and corrective work on grinders, washers, and metrology gear to minimize downtime and sustain production tempo.
- Track and report mission metrics: log output, scrap, labor, and downtime in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system; deliver concise end-of-shift reports to the Production Operations Director.
- Champion continuous improvement: spearhead production planning events and data-driven initiatives that boost plant efficiency and reinforce America’s strategic advantage in critical minerals.
Ideal Profile
- Supervisory experience in machining, metals, or other high-tolerance manufacturing.
- Decisive, assertive communicator who thrives under schedule pressure.
- Working knowledge of grinding media, wet-wash processes, precision gauges, and calibration standards for hard-metal parts.
- Proven record of driving safety and quality; OSHA experience or equivalent preferred.

Schedule & Compensation
- Variable 12-hour shifts: 6 a.m.–6 p.m., 6 p.m.–6 a.m., 12 p.m.–12 a.m., or 12 a.m.–12 p.m. shifts available.
- Starting pay: $33 – $42 per hour, plus overtime.

Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of manufacturing equipment and facilities to ensure efficient and safe operations. This role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, conducting preventative maintenance, and implementing solutions to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventative Maintenance:
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Schedule and perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and part replacements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with manufacturing equipment.
- Perform repairs and adjustments to machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve problems.
- Equipment Installation and Upgrades:
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment.
- Implement upgrades and modifications to existing equipment as needed to improve performance and efficiency.
- Safety and Compliance:

- Provide training and support to other maintenance personnel as needed.
Qualifications:
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and PLC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (50 pounds or more) and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

Production Operator
Production Operators are responsible for loading and unloading ingredients and materials into machinery, maintaining equipment and sanitizing work areas. The ideal Production Operator will have a minimum of one year’s experience working in a manufacturing setting, have excellent communication skills and be a team player.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Be comfortable working with basic machine tools.
- Be able to use a tape measure.
- Be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Be able to inspect parts for defects and abnormalities.
- Know the proper way to hold and use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
